ASA Abstract Search Help |
Overview The search feature of the ASA Abstract web site allows you to search abstracts from the current year, as well as those from prior years. Below is a brief description of the parameters that can be used to refine your search. Abstract Keywords You can search for abstracts that contain keywords in either the title, authors, or the entire abstract. From one to three of the three text fields provided can be used to refine the search. If multiple fields are populated the search will combine those fields so the search request will search for abstracts that meet all the search request parameters. The top search field defaults to searching for an authurs name. If a search is required to search the title field simply enter the text to search in the second text field and select title from the drop down menu. The same procedure can be used to search for a word in the entire abstract. Abstract Number To search for a specific abstract number simply enter the number and click search. Dates These drop down menus can be used to limit the searches to specific years. The default setting is to only search the current year. Display Options These options determine the format of the search results. You can determine the number of results to display per page and how the results will be sorted. Hit Word Style These options determine the way the hit highlighting will appear on the search result abstract. Any combination can be used.
